Crisp Lettuce Tip

Lettuce

Do you ever buy a new head of lettuce and it goes bad within a couple of days? It used to happen to me all the time until I came upon this nifty little trick.  Put paper towels into your storage bags with your lettuce.  I like to cut up a whole head of lettuce and store it in the fridge in a zip lock bag so it’s ready to go when I need it. If you fold up a paper towel and place it in the bag as well, your lettuce stays crisp and fresh for up to a week (and sometimes longer)! I have found this works with most veggies that need to be stored in the fridge.
